Canadian Farmland Investment - Is Canadian

Farmland The Right Investment For You?

There is a lot of uncertainty in the markets today, which makes it difficult to know where to put your money. With the markets beginning to show signs of volatility and the international community losing faith in the US dollar, a lot of people are turning their attention to hard assets such as silver and gold, but for Canadians there is another hard asset that could make a lot of sense for you and your family.

An investment in Canadian farmland is a long-term investment that could be of enormous benefit to your children and grandchildren, while still earning you a great return in this lifetime as well. There are many factors that make Canadian farmland a terrific advantage to your portfolio.

For one thing, all of the conditions are right in Canada for farming. There are a glut of natural resources to help farmers out, and make farming a naturally viable proposition in the Canadian prairies. There is plenty of water, for instance, and it’s clean too. This is an agricultural hurdle that many countries struggle with enormously, such as China and India. Water is not easy to economically move, and trying to import water to grow crops is a disaster. Canada has a lot of water readily available for the Canadian farmland industry.

There is also plenty of energy. Canada has deposits of oil, shale oil and a recently discovered surplus of natural gas. You can’t get much farming done without gas, but thankfully in Canada there is no short supply. This makes farming once again a lot less risky of a proposition, and keeps Canadian farms highly profitable year after year.

Canada is also a very stable country, politically. Its politicians listen to its people and are responsible for creating a climate in which many feel good about starting a future. Not all countries can say the same, but in Canada you don’t have to worry about the rights to your land being taken away, or about things changing so dramatically you no longer want your family to live in the country.

Finally, Canadian farmland has been undervalued for the past several decades and only now, with a global food shortage and more and more people looking to get into hard assets, is it beginning to pick up. There is still plenty of farmland available and much of it would make a terrific Canadian farmland investment. If you’re wondering what the best way to invest in Canadian farmland is, you’ve come to the right place. We have plenty of tips to offer you on Canadian farmland investment and we’re happy to share what we know.
